Welcome back to another installment of The Good & The Ugly, a series where I talk about some of the best and worst songs to come out every year I’ve been alive and recalling music. Last time, I talked about 2004, arguably the best year I’ll cover in this entire series. This time, I’m discussing hit songs from 2005, the first year I had really vivid memories about music, outside of small snippets in my toddler ages. Before I hop into the list proper, here are some honorable mentions: Trick Daddy- “Sugar”, Mike Jones- “Back Then”, Kelly Clarkson- “Since U Been Gone”, Webbie- “Give Me That”, Gwen Stefani- “Hollaback Girl”, Pretty Ricky- “Grind With Me”, Amerie- “1 Thing”, Ludacris- “Pimpin All Over The World”, Young Jeezy- “Soul Survivor”, Usher- “Caught Up”, Lil Jon- “Lovers & Friends”, Bow Wow- “Like You”/“Let Me Hold You”, Destiny’s Child- “Soldier”, Mariah Carey- “Shake It Off”, and Mario- “Let Me Love You.” With that out of the way, let me talk about one of the first experiences I have had with rock music growing up as a kid.

Best: Fall Out Boy- “Sugar We’re Goin Down”: This might be a little embarrassing for me to admit but the first…
